For THE Parents

New to rugby?    Let's make it make sense.

If you've ever stood on the touchline with no idea what just happened, these free guides are for you. Rugby explained in plain English - no jargon, no assumed knowledge, just the game made simple so you can enjoy watching your child play.

Rugby looks like glorious chaos until someone explains it. Most guides either talk down to you or drown you in jargon — so we made the opposite: clear, friendly, genuinely useful guides that take you from baffled to confident.
Read them here in a few minutes, or download them to keep. Completely free.

DIFFERENT UNION?
These guides follow England RFU rugby. If your club or player falls under Wales, Scotland, Ireland or another union - or you're overseas - the principles are the same but some detail differs. Drop us a line at thepack@fearlessrugby.com and we'll point you the right way.

FearLess Rugby's plain English explainers to help parents enjoy the game. Not official, and not affiliated with or endorsed by the RFU. For the official rules see RFU Regulation 15 (Age Grade Rugby), and always confirm your child's match format with your club. Current for the 2026/27 season.
